Introsys S.A.

Introsys

Introsys was born in 2002 as a spin-off of the Electrical Engineering Department of the New University of Lisbon, and it has grown from only four employees to a total of 120.  With a turnover of about 13 m€ in 2015, Introsys has established itself as a reference for the European Manufacturing Industry, concerning with several areas such as industrial automation, mobile robotics and R&D. The automation department is directly tied to providing services and products to some of the major players within the automotive industry worldwide, such as VW, Audi, Ford and BMW. An impressive number of 2500 industrial robots has been fully integrated by Introsys in its clients.

The R&D department is dedicated to building service mobile robots, inspection quality systems and advanced manufacturing control systems, in partnership with several European entities. Introbot (www.introbot.pt) and IntrobotSampler (www.robosampler.introsys.eu) are two of the best examples in our showcase, along with three industrial robotic cells compliant with the industrial standards used in Ford, VW and BMW assembly plants, which are used for training, testing and validating new technology. Introsys’ two mobile platforms are the perfect epitome for what the company already does and can still achieve in the future.
